The single-chip is based on 90nm CMOS manufacturing technology that sampled in December 2004. The first mobile phone with the DRP technology was developed in TI’s labs early last year.Nokia will mass-produce mobile phones based on a single-chip with cooperation from Texas Instruments, stated the company in a statement. The solution will be based on TI’s Digital RF Processor (DRP) Technology that simplifies the signal frequency (with the chip), which will also reduce the physical circuit size (and increase battery life) on mobile phones, in return, making the more affordable to the mainstream market.
