Ukrainian fintech company bill_line (CEO – Artem Lyashanov) has unveiled a novel addition to its payment offerings – Telegram Pay. According to the information provided on the company’s website, this new payment solution enables users to execute transactions directly within Telegram chats, eliminating the need for cumbersome external links.
What is Telegram Pay?
Telegram Pay introduced expedited payment capabilities within chats and channels in April 2021. Since then, over 20 companies spanning 200 countries have joined the ranks of Telegram Pay payment providers. Notably, seven of these providers hail from the Ukrainian fintech sector, with bill_line being one of them.
How does it function?
Telegram Pay empowers businesses to accept payments directly within the Telegram messaging app. Upon initiating a payment, users are seamlessly directed to the payment page within Telegram, obviating the necessity to exit the app. Payment can be completed using the familiar methods of Apple Pay or Google Pay, or users can input their card information for convenient storage within Telegram Pay, facilitating future transactions.
What are the advantages?
This payment method experienced a resurgence in popularity one year after its initial launch. In Telegram’s April 2022 update, a “bot revolution” was unveiled, allowing for the creation of online stores using chatbots. These stores feature conventional product pages, shopping carts, and, of course, integrated payment solutions.

As a reminder, in January, bill_line disclosed remarkable results for the year 2022, having doubled the number of processed transactions in the past 12 months.
